How it works

  1. Copy the Facebook video link. Open the public Facebook video or Reel, click the share menu, and choose "Copy link". Both facebook.com/watch links and short fb.watch links work when the video is public.
  2. Paste it and click Transcribe. Paste the link into DomeScribe and press Transcribe. The audio is fetched and run through Whisper; private videos and videos inside closed groups cannot be reached, so upload the file instead in those cases.
  3. Give it a moment. Processing takes roughly a tenth of the video's length — a five-minute Facebook video is typically done in about 30 seconds.

Can I transcribe a Facebook Live broadcast?

Once the live broadcast has ended and Facebook has published the recording to the page or profile, paste its link as you would any other Facebook video. A stream that is still live cannot be transcribed.
