It does the work between "recorded" and "published". Upload a recording, paste a link from one of seven platforms, or paste text you already have; the transcript appears in 99 languages, and from it the AI features produce a summary with timestamped chapters, show notes, a blog post, a LinkedIn post, an X thread, a YouTube description, or a newsletter, answer questions about the recording, and point to the moments worth clipping. Clip Studio cuts vertical clips from your own footage in the browser.
Who builds DomeScribe
Domichron Inc. is the software company behind DomeScribe, an online media toolkit for transcribing, extracting, converting, and compressing audio and video.
DomeScribe is built and operated by Domichron Inc., a founder-led software company. The product launched in 2026 and is developed in the open with the people who use it — the changelog lists what shipped and when, and the contact page reaches the people who built it.
How it is built
Two kinds of work happen in two different places. Transcription and the AI features run on our servers: the audio is sent to OpenAI's Whisper API for the transcript, and the transcript text to OpenAI's chat models for summaries, drafts, answers, and clip picks. Converting, compressing, and extracting audio from a file you upload run entirely in your browser with ffmpeg.wasm — those files never leave your device, and there are no monthly limits on them.
Retention is deliberately short and stated plainly: the original upload is deleted once transcription finishes; a compressed audio copy is kept only for in-app playback, for the transcript's lifetime, and is never offered for download; transcripts are encrypted at rest with per-user keys and auto-delete after 30 days on every plan. A platform link goes in and a transcript comes out — the media itself never does.
