DomeScribe’s approach is transcript-first. A speech-recognition model produces a timestamped transcript from your upload or link, and every written asset is generated from that text and nothing else. That design choice has a practical consequence: the show notes, blog post, and social posts quote what was actually said, and each one can be checked against the source in the same window.

Show notes and chapters, built from the transcript

The show-notes format is Markdown with four parts: a two-or-three-sentence episode summary, timestamped chapters that follow the conversation’s real turns, a short list of takeaways, and the people, products, books, and links that were mentioned. Chapter timestamps come from the transcript’s own segment times, so a marker lands where the topic begins. The Summary feature separately produces a TL;DR, key points, action items, and chapters in YouTube’s chapter format, ready to paste into a video description.

Because the draft is generated from the transcript rather than from a description you type, it does not invent a guest bio or a link that was never mentioned. If the audio is unclear, the transcript will show it — and so will the draft — which is why the workspace keeps both side by side.

Blog post, newsletter, LinkedIn, X — one credit each

Repurpose offers six formats: podcast show notes, a standalone Markdown blog post, a plain-text LinkedIn post, an X/Twitter thread of 5–12 posts depending on length, a YouTube description, and an email newsletter section. Each draft costs 1 AI credit, is written only from the transcript, and is cached, so reopening it later is free. Tone (professional, casual, punchy) and length (short, standard, long) are set per draft, so a punchy short thread and a professional long blog post can come from the same episode.

Beyond drafts, Chat lets you ask the recording questions — “what did the guest say about pricing?” — and answers come only from the transcript, cited with timestamps, at 4 answered questions per credit. Clip picks rank the best 15–75 second moments with a hook quote and platform fit (2 credits for the first scan, 1 per later “find more”).

Privacy and retention

Transcription runs on DomeScribe’s servers: the audio is sent to the speech-recognition model and the uploaded original is deleted after transcription. An audio copy is kept only for in-app playback for the transcript’s lifetime and is never downloadable. Transcripts are encrypted at rest with a per-user key and auto-delete after 30 days unless you delete them sooner. A pasted platform link is used only to produce the transcript — a link goes in, a media file never comes out.

Where DomeScribe is not the right fit

DomeScribe has no speaker labels, so transcripts are not split by speaker. It does not translate, does not export subtitles or SRT (SubRip Subtitle) files from transcripts, and has no API, team seats, mobile app, or meeting bot. It does not publish to your podcast host or social accounts — you copy and paste. Vertical clips are made by hand in Clip Studio (you frame the shot), not auto-generated. Transcripts auto-delete after 30 days, so it is not an archive. If those matter more than transcript-grounded drafts at $19/month, look elsewhere.
