How to go from a long recording to vertical clips

If the original file is on hand in the browser because you uploaded it, each pick can be cut into a real MP4 (or audio) clip locally, with no upload, on a paid plan. Recordings that came from a pasted link get picks only — DomeScribe never provides the platform’s media file. A link goes in, a media file never comes out.

Framing the shot: Clip Studio

Clip Studio turns a wide 16:9 recording into a 9:16 vertical clip. Upload MP4, MOV, WEBM, or MKV (the file stays in the browser), choose one of six layouts — Full, Stack, Trio, Spotlight, Inset, or Wide — and record the framing live as the clip plays: move the crop window to follow the speaker, switch layouts mid-take, redo a take. Honest limits: what DomeScribe does not automate

There is no AI auto-reframing and no face tracking: the crop follows your hand, not a model.
